New Student Orientation Programs

New Student Orientation

New students—including both first-time-in-college and transfer students—participate in a two-part orientation program designed to ease the transition to campus life.

  • Part 1: New Student Days (Summer) An optional, one-day event held during the summer prior to your first semester. It is a great chance to get an early start on your preparations.

  • Part 2: Orientation Week (Fall & Spring) A mandatory program held right before classes begin. This part is designed to fully familiarize you with New College's unique academic systems, campus services, and student resources.

Ultimately, Orientation is all about connection. It is your first opportunity to build lasting relationships with faculty, staff, and your fellow incoming and returning students.
