Course Overload Policy

Students may not enroll in more than 20 credit hours per semester without prior approval from the Provost.

Overload Approval. Students must submit a Provost’s Petition no later than the end of add/drop. Students on academic probation are ineligible.

Summer and ISP. Course load limits for Summer sessions and the Independent Study Period (ISP) are governed by separate policies published in the academic calendar.
