Course Auditing Policy

Enrolled students may audit a course with written instructor approval. Audited courses carry no credit, do not count toward graduation, and are not computed in GPA. Transcript notation: AU.

Approval. Audit designation must be recorded with the Registrar no later than the final day of add/drop. Applicable tuition and fees apply unless waived under a statutory fee waiver program.

Expectations. Auditing students are not required to complete assessments unless the instructor specifically requires audit participation. Audit registration cannot be changed to credit-bearing status after add/drop.

Community Auditor Waiver. Per Florida Statute §1009.26, Florida residents age 60 or older may audit on a space-available basis with tuition waived.

Financial Aid. Audited courses do not count toward financial aid credit hour enrollment thresholds.
